If God is not the Author of Confusion, Why am I a confused Christian?

I once heard that the world was one big insane asylum and the Christian were the doctors and nurses that treated the patients, I laughed at this statement, but after many days interacting with people, watching news reports concerning the bum rush of shoppers running over each other trying to get the sales, listening to different conversations of peers, coworkers and yes some friends. I’m left with the Possibility of believing just how true this statement may be. It will almost leave you being a Christian in a confused state. Is it possible to have administered the necessary doses on medicine to this confused world for so long that doubt, anxiety, depression and hopelessness began to rub off on you, that you will almost believe that this world with all of its problems, racial conflicts, killing, police brutality and rioting that it is beyond hope? Sometime you want to run out of your house with your hands up shouting “I’m so confused”! Well as a Christian I realized that even though situations might be confusing I myself don’t have to be confused. Confusion is a state of misperception, bewilderment or disorder. A person is only confused when they are unsure of who and whose they are and who is really in control. Being a Christian is solely based on your faith in Jesus Christ and knowing that you belong to him, knowing that no matter how crazy things might be God is still in control. But if you’re not sure what that faith and how much Jesus really cares for you, you will be confused...Since God is not the Author of confusion then the question must be answered why do we feel confused at times? I believe that many Christians feel confused when they don’t take the time to the words of Jesus...when we allow our busy schedules to rob us of the time that we should be spending with Him; in our devotion (prayer, reading the bible, worship). We become confused when we look to other things and people for solutions rather than putting our faith in Jesus Christ and him alone. Jesus left His words on record; we must spend the necessary time with His Word for in Him (Jesus) we will find Peace in a confused world...John 14: 27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid”. It is in these verses that Jesus encourages us to receive the PEACE that only He can give. In this peace we can find solace, the courage to face any circumstance and the strength we need to live in a confused world and being immune from all it infectious diseases such as; doubt, anxiety, depression and hopelessness. So if you’re feeling confused about your life trust God!
